Painting

To cultivate appreciation for the unseen hands that create an artist’s tools, I often experiment with making my own. The miniature series is painted on 5 in. X 5 in. Pieces of hand-mixed recycled khadi cotton paper, and partially rendered with watercolor paints made from pigments mined in traditional pits across Australia. The rest are painted on recycled canvas boards and paulownia wood.
